Terrace Houses'

It seems' very odd how, with population expanding, that more investments' are not ploughed into the current housing markets'.

There are lots' of things' that can be done to extend the space for people and large families who do not wish to move from their location, disturbing the community bonds' that are established.

In the day when, there was a need to utilise the fron t gardens' for growth of vegetables and small pitch farming, it was understandable, with space issues' at the bottom of the list after ww2.

It is baffling why the council will not allow planning permission to extend the houses' forward to the main road.

With the gardens' of most of what are not utilised, it seems' absurd that investments' for families' that need front house extensions' are not granted.

Most of these houses' are subjected to basements' that were closed off after the war, and should be re-opened for those of use who choose to have them. It seems' merciless that we have this extra space of what most of it is going to waste, with the increasing of population needs'.

Basements would be good to utilise as kitchen dinning areas' or living-room, bedroom areas'.

or extending in the front for a bigger kitchen, with an extra two bedroom space, upstairs', with more loft additions'.

If theses small investments' are made, there would be less demand for subsequent moving, rehousing, lessening the housing waiting lists' and hostel units' for criminals' and the aged.

These houses' are far too small to meet the demands' of the social needs' that have arisen due to population increases' of immigration and birth rates' at an all time high.

If you spend money you save money, it is as simple as that.
