The Gas and Electricity Scandal:

My latest electricity bill, came in at £125.00 pounds', this was what I was expecting; considering that I had a whole section of work carried out during the coldest month of the year. This work and renovating, constituted by a way of shutting down my Gas-Supply.

In normal months' I usually get an electric bill consisting of £70. 00 pounds'; of what I expected it to be doubled; during that month, and season, I had my gas works' carried out. I wasn't however; expecting a gas of nearing £300.00 pounds', considering the gas supply had been switched off; thus we had resorted to the usage of electricity.

The telephone assistant then informs' myself that my bill following the year previous was just over £300.00 pounds' so therefore is it fitting the system of usage that your house-hold produces'.

I informed her; that last year during the coldest months' my windows' had not be up-graded, thus; our house had lost far more energy through poor-insulation.

She refused to take this into account; insisting that my metre reading was correct and thus following a complaint to myself in regarding my usage of language. I was very polite; in my mannerisms' and suggested that she send an inspector to view my very old meter of what has just about had it' last day.

Then following my request; she proceeded to say that; we see there is nothing wrong with your meter. How does' she know, has she seen the condition of my very old gas meter. I am sure it's not working properly, in what she goes on to tell me that; if I have my gas meter checked then it will cost me another £60-70 pounds' ; if they happen to find the meter in working order.

They are without doubt penalising the paying costumer, of what is having a social impact on the general-overall-public.

There is no way that gas bills' for usage should come in out £300.pounds in the winter months', it is a sure Rip-off and extreme taxation that only the companies' are benefiting from. It is far too high, be it £300.oo pounds' it should be roughly about £150.oo and that is even high. So wheres' all the money going £?.
